NEW! “The Visible Bystander” How To Make A Change!
Suitable for grades K-6, this assembly features a theatrical storyline with discussion to clarify each concept

Our newest story unfolds in an elementary school (similar to your school) and like every school; this one has problems with bullying. There are victims, bullies, supporters, and of course many kids such as our narrator, who are bystanders. As the story unfolds, our seemingly “invisible” bystander observes scenes of physical bullying, verbal bullying, and cyber bullying, and wants to help but is not sure how to go from just seeing what is happening to helping out the victim and changing the outcome. In the end, with specific anti-bullying strategies and help from the audience, the bystander learns how to help stop the bullying from happening in your school and change the fate of victims everywhere.

NEW! “CHANGE IT!” STANDING UP TO BULLYING

This assembly features short monologues, role-playing and student questions and interaction. It is appropriate for grades 6 - 8.

Premise: This powerful presentation was designed based on the most current research involving Bullying and its effects on those involved. The structure of the presentation helps raise the awareness of middle school students of this important issue through recognizable scenes and      role-playing that force them to see their behaviors from the outside. The presentation has sad moments, funny moments, serious moments, and powerful moments. The following is an outline of concepts covered during “CHANGE IT!”

Dear principals, parents, social workers, school psychologists and assembly coordinators,

The goal of B.O.O.M. Troupe's programs are to empower today's students and impress on them the importance of being good human beings. The lessons we teach are those of bullying, tolerance, character education, high school issues, internet safety, reading, and health/nutrition.  Boom Troupe (along with a group of amazingly talented performers) teaches young people how to be good humans. Our vision is to empower tomorrow's leaders. Our programs teach young people important, valuable and crucial life lessons.

In this day and age our youth don't have role models, they have movie stars and American Idol. We want our children to succeed and thrive in this world but at the cost of their own character and integrity?   I look at the world around me and I am stricken with the effect the media has on all of our lives.  We have taken away from our children the means to learn how to be good human beings. We should be nurturing and teaching them how to nurture themselves.  How in the world are they supposed to know what it is to have integrity, honor, honesty, empathy, respect? Where are they supposed to turn to find the tools they need to build their own characters?  And most importantly when it comes time for them to be the adults, the examples for the next generation, HOW WILL THEY KNOW?

That is where B.O.O.M. Troue fits in the picture.  We hope you call today to see how our programs change the way your children think and look at the world around them.
